GENELEC HOME THEATER SOUND SYSTEMS EXPANDS HT LINE
          WITH NEW THREE-WAY MODELS

CEDIA EXPO, INDIANAPOLIS, IN, September 9, 2005 — Genelec,
Inc., U.S. distributor of Genelec Home Theater Sound Systems, has expanded
its line of home theater products with the addition of five new three-way
active speakers. The announcement was made by Karen Richardson, National
Sales Manager for Genelec Home Theater Sound Systems, and further emphasizes
Genelec’s ongoing commitment to the high-end home theater and
consumer audio markets. The new models include: the HT312A (12"),
          HT315A (15"), HT320AC (dual 10" center channel), HT324A (dual
          12") and HT324AC (dual 12" center channel).
As a direct result of feedback from reps, dealers and
leading high-end home theater installers, the new models are designed
to provide a high impact listening experience for the larger home theater/multi-media
room or any surround sound environment measuring up to 13,000 cubic
feet (H x W x D). Like all Genelec active home theater systems, the
new speakers employ Genelec’s proprietary Directivity Control
Waveguide Technology™ (DCW™) which provides excellent stereo
imaging and frequency balance even in difficult acoustic environments.
In addition, all models are magnetically shielded, feature lower noise
electronics, have a Signal Sensing Auto-On/Off Circuit, new crossover
electronics and 12V/contact closure strip for interface to AMX, Crestron
or other home automation systems. The amp panels include a dipswitch
pack that allows the installer to turn the LED indicator on or off.
If ON is selected, there is another dipswitch that enables all LED functions
to show standby (yellow) and overload (red), or only standby. All models
are available in Genelec’s matte Black finish.
        The HT312A is a three-way active speaker with a 12"
woofer, 5" midrange (loaded with Genelec’s DCW), and a 1"
metal dome tweeter. It features an integrated electronic crossover and
amplifiers (180 Watt, 120 Watt and 120 Watt), has a frequency response
of 37 Hz to 21 kHz, a maximum SPL of 126 dB and measures 26 3/4"
          H x 15 3/4" W x 15" D.

Genelec, the pioneer in Active Monitoring technology,
is celebrating over 25 years of designing and manufacturing active loudspeakers
for true and accurate sound reproduction. Genelec is credited with promoting
the concept of active transducer technology, which many manufacturers
are just now incorporating into their products. Since its inception
in 1978, Genelec has concentrated its efforts and resources into creating
active monitors with unparalleled sonic integrity. The result is an
active Home Theater speaker system that has earned global acclaim for
its accurate imaging, extremely high acoustic output from a very small
enclosure, and true high-fidelity with low distortion and deep, rich
          bass.
